We are pleased to announce our 2016 wind instrument "Petting Zoo" on Saturday, June 25 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Damascus United Methodist Church, 

9700 New Church St.,  Damascus. Students interested in learning how to play a wind instrument (clarinet, trumpet, flute, etc.) should join us to meet our instructors and get a chance to handle the instrument

that they are interested in playing. Students in the Beginning Band program will receive group instruction and will take part in the Fall and Spring concert series.


The Academy of Saint Cecilia Youth Orchestra (ASCYO) is a non-profit organization that offers five performing ensembles​, three orchestras, one band​, and a beginning brass, woodwind and percussion program for aspiring young musicians.

Founded in 2001, the Academy of Saint Cecilia Youth Orchestra's mission is to serve the community by providing opportunity for young musicians to attain musical excellence through instruction, rehearsal and public performances of the great musical compositions of the past and present. The objective of the Academy is to foster a holistic and wholesome environment where music and the arts are connected to the other areas of life in a balanced setting. The services provided to young people in music are given without regard to sex, race, religion, or national origin.
